| Event Description: | |
As part of ARC's 10 year Anniversary we are supporting the National Society for Epilepsy and they are running a charity event called the Seahorse cycle. Details are as follows:- Following successful Seahorse Cycle events to Paris, Dublin and Edinburgh in the last three years, we are now recruiting team members for the NSE 2008 Seahorse cycle challenge from Chalfont to Land's End.. The route from Chalfont St Peter takes the riders across beautiful countryside to Salisbury, on to Honiton in Devon, and then tracks the coast to St Austell and Penzance. The challenging event covers 345 miles and riders will have full support from the back-up vehicles available should they need it. The total cost for an individual to participate is £250 which covers pre-booked accommodation and support costs. Intially a non-returnable deposit of £100 will secure a place on the team. In addition we ask participants to guarantee a minimum sponsorship of £500. If the idea of taking part in this exhilarating event sets you to pumping up your tyres and oiling your chain, or if you would just like to know a little more, then please contact Neill Sayer on 01494 601309 or by emailing neill.sayer@epilepsynse.org.uk If you decide to join the team then good luck with your training, and thanks! | |
