David McGuigan co-founded ARC in 1998 and became chairman when ARC adopted a formalised constitution in 2000, a post he held until September 2005.
Head of Run-Off and Discontinued Business Strategy for Chiltington International, David has 25 years of London market experience including all aspects of strategic run-off management and exit routes, including Solvent Scheme project management, commutation strategy/negotiation, Part VII Transfers implementation, claims handling and debt recovery.
The former managing director of Aurora, the 400 person strong company created by PwC to manage the run-off of Independent Insurance, David has worked with various companies including Munich Re UK, Scottish Lion and Elliston UK.
David was also co-Author of the Chartered Insurance Institute's publication "Run-Off Management & Commutations in Practice" which was published in December 2006.
