Benefits of Membership

There are many ways in which membership of ARC is a benefit and whilst the following is not exhaustive it should cover the main areas.

One of the London Market’s often quoted benefits is the close proximity of its constituents and the good relationships that they all have. This can often drift or become less of a priority when all or part of a business goes into legacy management and so one of our fundamental goals has always been to facilitate and encourage dialogue in our sector or, to put this more simply, to help those working in Legacy Management to get to know each other better. It is for this reason that we focus a large part of our activity on events that bring together individuals from as many sectors of the market as possible – companies, Lloyd’s agencies, lawyers, accountants, legacy business managers, actuaries scheme advisers and a whole host of small and large consultants. In this way those responsible for managing the liabilities can meet all of the service providers they are likely to need, build relationships and, with it, the trust that is required to enter into complex and often wide-ranging relationships.
